Our woman puts a lot of thought into buying clothes. She enjoys shopping in specialty boutiques. She is a woman who likes looking hip and feminine. Even when she is expecting. For her, pregnancy is no reason to change her style. In fact, the last thing she wants to do is stay at home fussing; she wants to continue being in touch with the world, especially during this special time. She loves wearing a cool pair of jeans, a fashionable dress or a contemporary casual jumper. And feeling feminine and beautiful in them. All around the world, these women buy Queen Mum. The brand that we, Renée Bino and Erszébet Weber created.

Fashion is incredibly dynamic, and collections change rapidly. The art is to respond to trends without losing your specific identity. For us, styling and a keen fashion sense have been a part of our lives from the very beginning. Renée: “I was only 16 when I knew that I wanted to go into the fashion business. I was working in a clothing boutique at the time to earn a little pocket money.” Erzsébet: “My family worked in textiles, and seeing my father travelling around with all of those beautiful fabrics I thought to myself: I want to do that too.”

Valuable lessons
It was after we turned 40 that we started our own company: Queen Mum. Our experiences in the fashion industry taught us valuable lessons. We started out cautiously, with 10 items. These were articles of clothing that we knew were not in any other collection.

Queen Mum made a flying start. Our collection for expecting mothers proved to fill a gap in the market.

Our team is a key element of the success of our company. We deliberately keep it small, surrounding ourselves with experienced individuals and choosing quality.

Awareness in development and production We love the products that we make for their design and the beautiful, high quality materials that we use. We use a lot of Lycra and knits. Queen Mum does not develop a standard top. Details are very important, along with carefully considered shapes. Our clothing can be worn for years after pregnancy and works really well as separates. Fashionable women around the world clearly appreciate this.

Ideally, a cooperative effort is something that benefits everyone. We work with a group of reliable, specialised manufacturers who invest in good working conditions and live up to environmental standards.

Adaptable without compromises
Now, seven years after the brand was created, Queen Mum is sold in 30 countries around the world. The world is constantly changing, which has an immediate impact on fashion. We have structured our company so that we can adapt quickly if necessary. We do not make complicated marketing plans; our approach is primarily intuitive. Our growth is generated by day to day successes and experiences.
